At MTV, Calum Macdiarmid was initially hired as an illustrator, but swiftly moved into animation and directing for the network. He produced a series of award-winning work for MTV and other channels prior to his venture in commercial advertising.

Calum’s work explores powerful and inspiring storytelling in the company of intimate performances with an honest grit and a through-line of both visual and sonic texture – often using VO and the power of voice as a tool to connect with his audience on a deeper, more visceral level.

As the true narrator he is, Calum effortlessly connects the aesthetics of beauty, light and liquid to draw out raw, visually compelling and emotional stories, creating striking cinematic visuals and poeticism in the flow of all his work.
